Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre

Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC) is an organisation of the Ministry of Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan. It provides Engineering Solutions to both Public and Private sector Industries plus training to engineers / students in the latest engineering methods and CAD/CAM technologies using advanced CNC machinery.
Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC) has been going strong now for over 49 years, it was formed in 1962 with the merger of Industrial Research and Development Cell (IRDC) and Industrial Productivity Cell (IPC). In 1982 JICA (japan International Co-Operation Agency) Phase -I Project was commenced with the introduction of new Japanese engineering machinery. In 2002 ICA Phase-II Project was initiated at a cost of over Rs. 460 million with a completely new Plastic Injection Mould Making facility, Plastic Injection Moulding machines and advanced Design Software Laboratories, thus pushing PITAC to the forefront in Pakistan.
In keeping with our process of continual development PITAC has in January 2009 launched its new logo and slogan 'engineer your career' and is developing linkages with national and international organisations.
PITAC today is providing a service to Pakistan which can only be measured in the number of Engineers/Students and Projects that go through our hands, who then go and provide a service to Pakistan in their respective fields, a figure which cannot be quantified in figures but by the quality of training and service we provide.
PITAC offers a comprehensive array of technical assistance and support services to the Public and Private engineering sectors in Pakistan.
Some areas where PITAC offer technical assistance are as follows:

Plastic Injection Mould making & repairing
Heat Induction Metal Hardening

CNC Turning Centres
Advanced Jig Grinding & Boring
CMM measuring- Mitutoyo
Calibration
EDM & Wire Cut
Training
Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre recognises that Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development of any country. They have become even more important given the increasing pace of globalisation and technological advancement that is taking place in the world. Countries with higher and better levels of skills adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities
of globalisation.
PITAC provides short term intensive training courses in a number of different fields and disciplines, these are designed such that the supply-side responses are perpetually in sync with the demand side impulses both from domestic engineering environments as well as international markets.
Thus are courses are relevant and in tune with the demands of the marketplace and our approach is one of practical's, on the job training and usage of the latest machinery and software. Our AutoCAD courses are some of the most popular in Lahore today and regularly oversubscribed.
